part two of The Divine Trilogy

created & performed by Julia Bardsley with live mixed score by Andrew Poppy

A figure lurks in a dark place of collapse, a theatre of dirt, an ark of humiliation. Beneath the pelt it growls, licks, pants, bites back…

The solo performer is split into two opposing aspects; a live ‘animal’ presence – caged, confined and tethered within the performance space, and a video projected double – the ‘civilised’ manipulator and predator. What ensues is a battle of wills, a war enacted between two facets of the same woman.
